The groovy building in question is the EMP Museum, across and behind which is the Space Needle, the black sculptures, and the artsy earthen works. The lines were long enough I didn't bother to go up the Space Needle (perhaps some other time) but it was also kind of a let down: I thought it'd be bigger given how it features on all the stereotypical Seattle skyline pictures and silhouettes.
The meal truck is by Here and There Grill which provided me an excellent pulled-pork sandwich with tater-tots for lunch on Saturday. Also that day was Seattle Science Festival, not to be confused with the faire. There was a science fair and FIRST subevents going on as part of that too.
Sunday was filled with pink shirts and interestingly dressed people in support of the Susan G. Kommen march for breast cancer awareness. Traffic was slightly bad coming in, but since I'd hit the tale end of the event most people were disappating as I walked to the faire. This also meant traffic wasn't so bad on the way out.
