Rocket-inspired decoration design
I wanted to make another design so I'd have reason to visit Metrix again ... I came up with this idea for something that was reminiscent of a rocket.

The machine that handles the laser cutter does engravings from the outside in, stopping when it hits another path. The outside curves define the larger area, and circles inside define where it stops. Circles inside circles define a new engraving area. This is how I got the nice raised look.

The rockets in the first fiew images were my first attempts. They later flipped over the cut parts in place and would engrave the other side, too. This means they look good all the way around.
