First batch of ornaments (6mm)
First batch of ornaments. I used the 6mm wood because they had it on hand. I got 4 of each design that were really good, and 4 of the complex one and 3 of the simple one that are nice in their own way.

The ornaments are close to 12cm across, the Coke bottle lid is for size comparison of the tear-drop bits that got cut out.

Everyone I talked appeared to like the complex design more than the other, but it turned out to be harder to get right every time. Tear-drops wouldn't cut all the way through and sometimes the entire ornament wouldn't come all the way out.

The really burnt boards are evidence of trying to retrace the same spots to get them to come out. It didn't really work, they just charred.

A few of each design turned out with stuck centers. I later used an Exacto knife to rid them of the center. I didn't attempt to free many of the stuck tear-drops. Too hard.
